Please read these terms and conditions carefully. When you make a booking with Sun City Motel, you are accepting on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your confirmation documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies within 24 hours of your booking.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Standard check in time is 2pm on the day of arrival and the room is to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Early arrivals and late check-outs may incur a fee, are at the discretion of Management, and must be requested at the time of booking. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. A damage deposit of AUD 150 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full by credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. On check-out please return room key/s to the key return box located beside the reception door.
CANCELLATION POLICY
To cancel or move your booking you must notify us at least 24 hrs prior to our check-in time of 2pm. Cancellations within this period will incur a cancellation fee equal to that of your first nights accommodation which will be charged to your credit card. At the time of booking you will be notified if a different cancellation period applies eg: group bookings and special event periods. After check in should you shorten your stay, you will be charged a minimum of one nights accommodation unless you are able to give us 24 hrs notice. If you have booked through a third party, please check the term and conditions for your reservation via their website as they may differ.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
PAYMENT POLICY
For exclusive hire and multiple rooms bookings (5 bedrooms or more), a 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking with the final payment due 14 days prior to arrival.
BOOKINGS AND QUOTES
Bookings can be made online at www.suncitymotel.com.au or by calling Sun City Motel on (07)41512214. Reservations are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking. Verbal quotes are valid for 24 hours only. Any verbal quote given is an estimate only of price, which will be subject to a written advice on confirmation of booking. You agree to pay the rate for each night of your stay and any additional charges up until the time you have departed the accommodation. The accommodation may be occupied by you only for the period stated on the booking confirmation.
To guarantee your reservation you will be asked for your credit card number, regardless of your payment method. Reservations must be under the name of the person checking in. All payment for accommodation must be made in full upon arrival. Incidental charges must be paid for at time they are incurred. Entry into motel rooms is conditional upon a signed guest arrival form. Due to fire regulations, Management must be aware of the number of guests in all rooms.
BREAKAGES & DAMAGES
A valid credit card will be required upon check-in. Not adhering to the terms and conditions, damage to the property, equipment, breakages or if extra cleaning is required will lead to your credit card being debited. Provision of credit card details is the authority to debit any payment owing.
Damages or breakages of furniture or furnishings must be reported to Management immediately. Breakages or damages to the property and all communal or external areas that are caused by any guest and/or a guest’s visitor will be charged and recouped in full from the guest’s credit card or deducted from the guest’s refundable deposit. Excess cleaning required on departure or replacement of items removed from the accommodation will be charged to the guest’s credit card. Furniture, fixtures and fittings are not to be altered or moved between rooms or properties. There will be a charge incurred if the furniture is not returned to its original location.
SMOKING
We do not permit smoking in our guest rooms. There are plenty of areas around the grounds where smoking is permitted and we ask that you dispose of your butts appropriately. We do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, incense, cooking, cigars, candle burning, the use or diffusing of essential oils or synthetic products in our rooms.
A sanitation fee of nights accommodation will be charged if smoking has occurred in the room. The fee will be charged to your credit card.
HOUSEKEEPING / LINEN CHANGES
Housekeeping is provided daily between the hours of 9am to 2 pm. Rooms are cleaned and inspected daily, and a detailed log is maintained on each room and linen. Rooms are rented to guests in appropriate condition. Housekeeping will be unable to change a bed if personal belongings are left on a bed. Extra cleaning and linen change can be arranged during your stay for an additional charge, at a cost to you.
PETS
Pets are only permitted in our designated pet rooms. Pet rooms are subject to availability.
PRIVACY
Your personal information will be recorded and used only by authorised persons who are required to keep your information private. We will never use retained information for any other purpose nor provide it to any other party without your prior permission, except where legally obliged to.
However, by confirming your reservation you agree to allow us to pass on to persons we deem appropriate your details should you or your visitors; Such as but not limited to 1. Fail to settle your account 2. Smoke or have illicit drugs in the room 3. Room degradation (such as vomit, bodily wastes) 4. General damage to motel property, fittings, fixtures 5. All non-standard cleaning charges 6. And or any problem sufficient to result in a room being withdrawn from its availability to let.
Please note there are cameras in some areas outside the motel. Sun City Motel is under no obligation unless court ordered to supply or let guest view any footage recorded. It is at the Managers discretion to allow viewing or supplying of footage.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
You acknowledge that we do not cover your personal belongings under our insurance policy and therefore take no responsibility for any loss or damage of the occupants personal property left on the premises and agree that you will not make any claim against us for any damages or loss to your personal belongings regardless of how or where the loss or damage occurred.
NUMBER OF GUESTS
At no time during your occupancy is the number of guests staying to exceed the number booked, unless prior approval is sought and given by management. The use of extra beds other than the number booked will attract an additional tariff. Any persons exceeding the maximum occupancy of the property will be considered trespassers and will be evicted.
BEHAVIOUR
Parties or gatherings are strictly prohibited, unless prior arrangements have been made with Management. Disturbance to other guests and neighbours including excessive noise and music is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund. If a noise complaint is received, a first warning will be given, if a second complaint is received this will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
COVID REQUIREMENTS
At the time of reservation, each guest ensures compliance with the current QLD public health order in regards to travel restrictions. All guests agree to abide by the current COVID-19 rules and regulations while on our motel grounds.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We highly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at time of booking. We suggest that the policy should include, but not be limited to, the reimbursement of any monies paid in the event the travel is cancelled; loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money and medical expenses.
LIABILITIES
You acknowledge that we do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses and disruptions due to electrical storms or other acts of God caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control and agree not to make any claim in relation thereto.
CHANGES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Compensation will not apply if a significant change is made for reasons beyond our control. These include: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, act of government or public authorities or other circumstances amounting to force majeure and/or Acts of God.
NO TENANCY
You agree that regardless of your length of stay in there is no tenancy or other rights created under any Landlord and Tenant laws and there are no such laws that apply to your stay.
BREACH OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
You agree that should you or your guests breach any of the terms and conditions:
You will pay to us the total loss or damage that we suffer as a result of that breach and hereby authorise us to debit your credit card or apply your refundable deposit in payment of that loss or damage and we may evict you and your guests without notice.
BOOKING, PAYMENT OF DEPOSIT OR FULL PAYMENT CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
