Please read these terms and conditions carefully. When you make a booking with Sun City Motel, you are accepting on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your confirmation documents are correct.
BOOKINGS & QUOTES
- Reservations are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking.
- All quotes are valid for 24hrs only. Any verbal quote given is an estimate only of price, which will be subject to written advice on confirmation of reservation.
- All bookings must be guaranteed at the time of reservation by provision of Valid Credit Card details, regardless of payment method.
- By providing valid credit card details, you warrant that you have the authority to use the credit card and you authorise Sun City Motel to charge the cost of your booking to the credit card in the case of cancellation or no show penalties as detailed below.
- You agree to pay the rate for each night of your stay and any additional charges up until the time you have departed the accommodation.
- Payment in full at time of booking or arrival. After hours arrivals require full pre-payment.
- The accommodation may be occupied by you only for the period stated on the booking confirmation.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
- Standard check-in time is 2pm. The name of the booking (or nominee) must be the person checking in. Guests are required to show photo ID and valid credit card upon check-in (this must match the name of the booking).
- Standard check-out time by 10am.
- For guaranteed arrival prior to 2pm, a room must be reserved from the previous night and therefore includes an additional nightly charge.
- Late check-out up to 11am is at the discretion of the Management and must be requested the night before check out. Late check out after 11am will incur the full rate of one (1) nights’ accommodation.
- Guests planning to arrive after hours must contact reception during office hours.
- A damage deposit of AUD 150 is required on arrival. Your deposit will be refunded in full, subject to an inspection of the property.
- Entry into motel rooms is conditional upon a signed guest arrival form.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations must be made at least 24hrs prior to the standard check-in time of 2pm. Cancellations within this period will incur a cancellation fee equal to that of your first nights accommodation.
- No shows will have the booking cancelled and will incur a cancellation fee equal to that of your first nights accommodation.
- We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
- Sun City Motel reserves the right to refuse bookings made at any time.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
- On arrival, guests will be required to provide a valid credit card or a cash deposit and photo identification to cover any incidental charges.
- Damage, breakages, theft, and losses that are caused by any guest and/or a guest’s visitors will be charged and recouped in full from the guest’s credit card or deducted from the guest’s refundable deposit.
- Additional cleaning fees may apply as required.
- Furniture, fixtures and fittings are not to be altered or moved between rooms or properties.
- The consumption of drugs or alcohol in rooms is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of booking, dismissal of guest without a refund and legal prosecution.
- Smoking of any kind is not permitted at any time in guest rooms. An additional $150 minimum cleaning fee will be charged.
- Pets are not allowed in the motel.
- Tourists and business travelers only.
- For the enjoyment of all guests, noise restrictions apply after 9pm. Excessive noise is not tolerated.
- The number of guests must not exceed the number stated on the booking confirmation notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email
- Lost or stolen keys will incur a $100 fee. Attempts will be made to contact the guest who will be given the opportunity to return keys taken. Failure to do so will result in the fee being charged to their credit card.
- Room degradation (such as vomit, bodily wastes) a $150 minimum cleaning fee will be charged, plus any professional floor cleaning charges at cost, plus a daily room tariff equal to the daily tariff that we would charge if the room was available to be let or any other rate that may be agreed to by the management, in accordance with business demand on the day, until the said room has been returned to its saleable condition.
- The use of extra beds other than the number booked will attract an additional tariff.
- The breach of any of the above conditions may result in immediate termination of rental and charges.
HOUSEKEEPING / LINEN CHANGES
- Housekeeping is provided daily (excluding Sundays and public holidays), during limited hours. Housekeeping will be unable to change a bed if personal belongings are left on a bed.
- Extra cleaning and linen changes can be arranged during your stay for an additional charge, at a cost to you.
COOKING & FIRE
- Cooking in guest rooms is strictly forbidden. Fees for additional cleaning may apply should guest cook inside a guest room.
- Due to Fire regulations, Management must be aware of number of guests in rooms.
- NO CANDLES OR OPEN FLAMES PERMITTED.
- Should the Fire Alarm be activated, the cost of Emergency Services attending, will be charged to the guest.
BEHAVIOUR
- In the interest of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the motel, a zero tolerance party policy applies to all guests staying at the property.
- Guests are expected to be respectful of other guests at all times, and to be quiet between 9pm-7am.
- No group congregations in individual guest rooms is permitted or tolerated. Immediate eviction with no refund applies to any breaches of this policy.
- At no time during your stay should the number of guests exceed the number booked, unless prior approval is sought and given by management. Any persons exceeding the maximum occupancy of the property will be considered trespassers and will be evicted.
PRIVACY
Your personal information will be recorded and used only by authorised persons who are required to keep your information private. We will never use retained information for any other purpose nor provide it to any other party without your prior permission, except where legally obliged to. However, by confirming your reservation you agree to allow us to pass on to persons we deem appropriate your details should you or your visitors; Such as but not limited to 1. Fail to settle your account 2. Smoke or have illicit drugs in the room 3. Room degradation (such as vomit, bodily wastes) 4. General damage to motel property, fittings, fixtures 5. All non-standard cleaning charges 6. And or any problem sufficient to result in a room being withdrawn from its availability to let.
Please note there are cameras in areas outside the motel. Sun City Motel is under no obligation unless court ordered to supply or let guest view any footage recorded.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
You acknowledge that we do not cover your personal belongings under our insurance policy and therefore take no responsibility for any loss or damage of the occupants personal property left on the premises and agree that you will not make any claim against us for any damages or loss to your personal belongings regardless of how or where the loss or damage occurred.
COVID REQUIREMENTS
At the time of reservation, each guest ensures compliance with the current QLD public health order in regards to travel restrictions. All guests agree to abide by the current COVID-19 rules and regulations while on our motel grounds.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We highly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at time of booking. We suggest that the policy should include, but not be limited to, the reimbursement of any monies paid in the event the travel is cancelled; loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money and medical expenses.
LIABILITIES
You acknowledge that we do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses and disruptions due to electrical storms or other acts of God caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control and agree not to make any claim in relation thereto.
CHANGES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Compensation will not apply if a significant change is made for reasons beyond our control. These include: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, act of government or public authorities or other circumstances amounting to force majeure and/or Acts of God.
NO TENANCY
You agree that regardless of your length of stay in there is no tenancy or other rights created under any Landlord and Tenant laws and there are no such laws that apply to your stay.
BREACH OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
You agree that should you or your guests breach any of the terms and conditions:
You will pay to us the total loss or damage that we suffer as a result of that breach and hereby authorise us to debit your credit card or apply your refundable deposit in payment of that loss or damage and we may evict you and your guests without notice.
BOOKING, PAYMENT OF DEPOSIT OR FULL PAYMENT CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
